Job Title: Senior/Associate Director – Building Surveyor

A forward-thinking and rapidly growing consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior or Associate Director-level Building Surveyor to join its expanding Bristol office. This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in the continued success of a dynamic business that delivers high-impact work across the public and private sectors.

This role is ideal for a commercially minded surveyor looking for influence, autonomy, and a clear pathway to further progression.

The Opportunity:

You’ll join collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams supporting a range of clients across sectors including education, commercial, residential, and healthcare. As a senior member of the team, you’ll be responsible for project delivery, client management, team mentoring, and helping drive business development initiatives across the South West.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver professional and project work across the region
  • Provide expert advice on building pathology, due diligence, contract administration, and refurbishments
  • Oversee condition surveys, feasibility studies, and technical reports
  • Manage and mentor junior team members and support APC progression
  • Develop and nurture client relationships and support wider business development
  • Contribute to strategic growth and service delivery improvements

What You’ll Bring:

  • MRICS qualification (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a consultancy environment
  • Strong technical knowledge across a range of building surveying services
  • Client-facing confidence and ability to win or grow business
  • Experience mentoring junior surveyors and leading small teams
