We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Director of Group Reporting and Technical Accounting to lead all aspects of external financial reporting, group consolidation, and technical IFRS accounting matters. This role is critical to ensuring we meet our reporting obligations in compliance with international accounting standards and regulations, while providing high‑level insight and support on the company’s most complex accounting matters. This role leads a team of accounting and reporting professionals and reports directly to the Chief Accounting Officer.

THE CHALLENGE:

External Reporting

  • Lead the preparation and review of our external financial statements, including the annual SEC 20‑F annual report and quarterly 6‑K earnings filings.
  • Prepare technical accounting matters for the Audit Committee.

Consolidation & Close

  • Own the group consolidation process, including intercompany eliminations, financial mapping, and accurate roll‑up of entity results into group IFRS financials.
  • Coordinate group close timing and procedures across our global finance team.

Technical Accounting

  • Prepare memorandums and analysis on complex accounting issues and transactions, including impairment, business combinations, capitalized software, share‑based compensation and revenue recognition.
  • Research and interpret new accounting standards and SEC regulations, assess their impact on the company and provide training to the finance team as needed.
  • Lead the company’s IFRS 18 implementation, including assessment of income‑statement presentation changes, management‑defined performance measures and required disclosures.

Controls & Audit

  • Maintain and enhance internal controls over financial reporting in compliance with SOX requirements.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact with external auditors, coordinating audit processes and resolving complex technical issues.

Leadership & Cross‑Functional Partnership

  • Lead and develop a team of accounting and reporting professionals building technical capability and mentoring on complex accounting matters.
  • Partner closely with Finance, Operations, Legal, and Financial Controls teams to address accounting‑related issues and ensure cohesive financial management.
  • Lead or contribute to special projects, including M&A, system implementations and process improvements.

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Master’s degree a plus.
  • Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA or CPA required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a senior financial reporting or technical accounting role, ideally at a publicly traded company.
  • Deep expertise in IFRS accounting standards and SEC reporting requirements.
  • Proven experience researching and interpreting complex accounting standards and regulatory guidance.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, audit processes and SOX compliance.
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience, with the ability to develop technical capability across a team.
  • Proven ability to deliver accurate results against firm quarterly and annual reporting deadlines.
  • Highly collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively across Finance, cross‑functional departments and external advisors and auditors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • And of course, you share our passion for sports!

OUR OFFER

  • This role offers genuine ownership of external reporting and technical accounting for a global, NASDAQ‑listed business — with direct visibility to key leadership and stakeholders.
  • You’ll help shape how a fast‑growing, complex international business navigates accounting changes and complexities.
  • We are a diverse, collaborative global team with a culture built on integrity and focus.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits reflecting the seniority and complexity of the role.
  • We talk sports every day and bring that same energy and spirit to our work.
