Position Overview

The Director, Global Tax & Treasury, is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely tax compliance across the Optimizely group, including US federal, state, local taxes, sales tax, and foreign entity returns. This role involves partnering with global tax teams and local controllerships. Additionally, the director will handle tax planning, optimize the company's tax structure, transfer pricing, and intellectual property, and oversee treasury functions such as cash management, forecasting, and maximizing cash efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team responsible for policy development, process improvement, and strategic initiatives to increase efficiency and impact.
• Manage experienced contributors and possibly multiple managers.
• Ensure budgets and schedules meet corporate standards.
• Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including hiring, onboarding, goal setting, coaching, and resource management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 5+ years leading a team in a relevant field.
• Experience managing complex issues requiring in-depth industry and company knowledge.
• Broad knowledge across all functional areas within the tax and treasury domain.
• Regular interaction with executives on strategic issues.
• Ability to influence senior leaders and switch seamlessly between detailed and strategic perspectives.

Education

Degree-level education or equivalent experience in global tax-related roles.
