Job summary

Circle Health Group in Dorchester seeks a Director of Clinical Services to lead clinical governance and senior hospital operations at The Winterbourne Hospital. The role is full-time (37.5 hours) with a flexible shift pattern and a competitive salary.

You will provide visible clinical leadership, ensure regulatory compliance and safety, and drive quality improvement across all clinical areas, collaborating with senior teams to sustain high standards.

Qualifications

• NMC or HCPC registered healthcare professional with extensive senior leadership experience in a hospital setting.
• Proven success in clinical governance, risk management and quality improvement.
• Deep understanding of regulatory standards (CQC, NICE, NMC, HCPC) and national healthcare frameworks.
• Excellent leadership, communication and change management skills.
• Proven ability to lead investigations, manage risk and embed learning from incidents and audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead the clinical governance agenda to ensure compliance with regulatory, legal and professional standards with a GOOD rating and striving for OUTSTANDING.
• Provide visible leadership and clinical on-call support as senior advisor on clinical matters.
• Safeguard health, safety and wellbeing of patients and maintain a high-quality, safe clinical environment.
• Uphold professional standards in line with NMC, HCPC, GMC and other bodies.
• Ensure safe staffing levels with appropriate skill mix and staff competency.
• Lead hospital participation in audits with timely actions and adherence to best practice.
