This role sits within the FSI team at Alvarez and Marsal (A&M) in London. Our FSI practice assists financial institutions seeking organic or inorganic growth opportunities, requiring solutions to critical performance issues, or seeking strategic reviews. Working directly with our client’s management, A&M's involvement reassures all stakeholders that the company is taking important steps to address its problems and maximise value.
Our Asset Management & Alternatives team works with clients across the sector including: traditional, standalone, and captive asset management firms, diversified asset management firms, private markets general partners, and tier-1 service providers.
A&M’s FSI professionals work on high-profile cases in a rapidly transforming financial services landscape, striving for game-changing solutions that provide impactful long-term change. Our global team is comprised of seasoned financial services executives from diverse backgrounds, former senior industry executives, financial institution regulators, and highly skilled consultants.
Purpose of the Role
An opportunity exists for a Senior Director level hire within our Asset Management & Alternatives team based in our London office.
The successful hire will be experienced in conducting strategic reviews and business diagnostics, executing strategic change delivery, and designing solutions that address Asset Management clients’ most critical performance issues.
The successful appointee will work with our existing team to build the profile and reputation of the firm in Asset Management Performance Improvement, with clients across the UK and wider European region. Building on the success of the A&M brand, the successful candidate will bring unrivalled experience having held operational or advisory roles in the Asset Management sector.
The candidate is expected to have a good industry network to help drive business development activities. A track record of successful business development is key. They will support the development and execution of the A&M Performance Improvement strategy for key Asset Management & Alternatives clients and distinctive go-to-market propositions. They should reflect the operational distinctiveness that is A&M; a business-savvy, solution-focused business entrepreneur determined to make a difference and not afraid to challenge the status quo.
