Job summary

LexisNexis Intellectual Property Solutions is hiring a Senior Director, Platform Engineering to lead the Data Platform and Agentic Platform in Farringdon. You will drive shared platform services, set governance for data contracts, and partner with product leaders to deliver scalable, auditable AI-enabled workflows.

The role focuses on production-grade platforms, safety patterns, and building high‑caliber engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 12+ years leading platform engineering teams delivering shared services or large-scale SaaS systems with production operations accountability.
• Proven success building and operating platforms adopted by multiple product teams.
• Strong hands‑on technical leadership in distributed systems and platform engineering.
• Deep experience in data platform engineering at scale, incl. ingestion, integration, data quality, metadata, lineage, and secure access controls.
• Experience enabling AI-powered systems in production, incl. evaluation, monitoring, observability, auditability, and guardrails.
• Strong ability to partner with product leaders on contract-driven platforms and deliver outcomes without bottlenecks.
• Proven capability to hire and develop high‑performing engineering teams, incl. AI platform engineers.
• Experience building internal AI workflow platforms or shared AI platform services, incl. orchestration and production-grade monitoring.
• Familiarity with runtime safety patterns and operating regulated/high-trust systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• We lead engineering delivery for shared platform services and data capabilities consumed by multiple product domains.
• We translate product-defined platform requirements into scalable technical designs and executable delivery plans.
• We provide capacity forecasts, sequencing options, and delivery risk assessments to support platform roadmap decisions and domain commitments.
• We build and operate ingestion, integration, and modernization capabilities that improve consistency, trust, and reuse of IP data across domains.
• We implement canonical data contracts and APIs as defined through governance, including versioning and backward compatibility mechanisms.
• We implement and operate agent workflow platform capabilities aligned to product-defined standards and interfaces, including traceability, state handling, and convergence patterns.
• We implement production‑grade evaluation, observability, auditability, and guardrail mechanisms required for safe AI workflows.
