Job description

Senior Digital Product Owner - 14 month Fixed Term Contract

If you're looking for a career where you can make a real impression, join HSBC and discover how valued you'll be.

HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with operations in 64 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.

In this role, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing management of various digital products, journeys, and experiences within the Global Digital Servicing domain. You will operate within set budgets to deliver an agreed roadmap or core milestones. The scope of Digital Products includes a broad range of journeys and experiences offered to Global Private Banking (GPB) clients via online banking, mobile channels, and staff-facing portals.

As an HSBC employee in the UK, you will have access to tailored professional development opportunities and a competitive pay and benefits package, including private healthcare, enhanced maternity and adoption pay, support upon return to work, and a contributory pension scheme with a generous employer contribution.

In this role, you will:
  • Create, own, and champion the Digital Product roadmap across all relevant booking centers (UK, Guernsey, Switzerland, US, Hong Kong, Singapore, Luxembourg), aligning with GPB's strategy, priorities, and customer needs, while adhering to legal and regulatory frameworks.
  • Contribute to the development of the GPB Digital Strategy and Proposition based on deep understanding of GPB client needs.
  • Outline and manage project teams to deliver digital products, collaborating with all relevant stakeholders and working actively with Business Analysts.
  • Deliver high-level business requirements, breaking them down into deliverable units, working in an agile and collaborative manner following Scaled Agile principles.
  • Collaborate with group brand and experience stakeholders to ensure UI and UX for new products/services meet mandated standards and frameworks.
To be successful, you should meet the following requirements:
  • Working knowledge of Private Banking and understanding of GPB client needs and behaviour across all booking centres and relevant markets (desirable).
  • Expertise in managing regulatory and legal issues, such as cross-border and product distribution topics, across all digital channels and booking centres (essential).
  • Strong experience in digital business, with experience in travel, lifestyle, or other consumer product development considered a strong advantage.
  • Ability and willingness to challenge stakeholders and team members constructively and collaboratively.
  • Deep understanding of agile delivery principles and quality software engineering processes.

This role is based in London.
