Job description

Senior Digital Product Manager

If you're looking for a career that will help you stand out, join HSBC, and fulfil your potential - whether you want a career that could take you to the top, or simply take you in an exciting new direction, HSBC offers opportunities, support and rewards that will take you further.

Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB) helps deliver on HSBC's purpose of opening up a world of opportunity by providing our customers with borderless banking and world-class wealth management through best-in-class, mobile-first capabilities and exceptional people.

Our international network and breadth of expertise enable us to support individuals, families, business owners, investors and entrepreneurs. Wealth and Personal Banking has four key business areas responsible for efficiently bringing the best of HSBC to our clients through a broad and relevant suite of wealth and retail banking capabilities: Asset Management, Global Private Banking & Wealth, HSBC Life, Retail Banking & Strategy and COO & Digital Transformation.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Digital Product Manager.

You will join the Security as a Platform value stream, responsible for enabling customers to digitally setup, authenticate themselves and authorise transactions online and through other channels.

You will drive the development of market-leading digital journeys and experiences, alongside our cross-functional team (composed of analysts, designers, architects, developers, and scrum teams) across different locations and time-zones.

As an HSBC employee in the UK, you will have access to tailored professional development opportunities and a competitive pay and benefits package. This includes private healthcare for all UK-based employees, enhanced maternity and adoption pay and support when you return to work, and a contributory pension scheme with a generous employer contribution.

In this role you will:

  • Act as product lead for several products and shape the product roadmap. Analyse data, market research, feedback, expert opinion and review product performance to understand needs and opportunities and drive the change agenda.
  • Manage the full product lifecycle to ensure that, over time, the needs of customers continue to be met, and that financial and other benefits are achieved. Contribute to achieving our objectives and key results.
  • Identify new global capabilities that can drive value in markets in support of target outcomes. Ensure capabilities are scalable to drive a consistent experience across the Group.
  • Develop product variations to support propositions or regulatory needs in particular markets.
  • Establish the requirements' baseline, obtain formal agreement, and ensure traceability. Prioritise product requirements and own the product backlog, coordinating pilots, product launches, communications and training.
  • Work closely with Technology & Transformation teams to ensure the change agenda is delivered on time and in budget. Be hands-on and remove delivery blockers through appropriate action and escalation.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • You will have experience in a product management role, or evidence of strong cross-transferable skills
  • Demonstrable background in the consumer financial services, travel, lifestyle, and/or other consumer product development sectors
  • Experience influencing stakeholders cross functionally at all levels with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong data and analytical skills (experience in Looker beneficial)
  • Advocate fast & iterative ways of working across the product development lifecycle: roadmap prioritisation, requirement gathering, design thinking (leading run-ahead work to explore new problems or potential ideas collaboratively), lean/agile/SAFe software product development deployment practices, launch activities, and post-launch performance measurement
  • Curiosity, creativity, resilience and persistence - a 'can-do' problem-solving attitude.

This role is based in London.
