Job summary
The CPS is constantly in the news. We bring hundreds of thousands of criminal cases to court each year in England and Wales, and are leaders in developing the criminal justice approach to the most difficult and sensitive cases.
The CPS is an independent body at the heart of the Criminal Justice System. The role sits within our dynamic HQ Press Office, which provides a 24-hour, 365-days-a year service to the media. We deal with issues that really matter, including murder, hate crime, violence against women, terrorism, extradition, cyber-crime and much more. You’ll be at the centre of the CPS and a key part of the organisation’s communications. You will be responsible for delivering and enhancing our overarching digital communications strategy and support the delivery of high quality digital communications campaigns.
The job is demanding but extremely rewarding with opportunities to promote and explain the important work of the CPS to the public. If you have previous experience in a digital communications role and a passion for criminal justice, you could be a real asset to our team.
Social media is increasingly important as we evolve how we interact with channels, with audiences at the heart of what we do. The role will keep on top of trends to take advantage of innovative tools and ideas, while improving the creativity and digital output of the CPS.
Please note, the following is considered essential experience for this role:
Previous demonstrable experience of acting as a digital lead or specialist within a communications environment.
