Job description
Overview

At University of the Arts London (UAL), technology is central to how our students learn, collaborate and create. We’re looking for a proven Digital Learning Support Co-ordinator to take a leading role in supporting and improving the digital platforms that underpin teaching and learning across our School of Pre-Degree Studies.

This is a chance to step into a senior role where you’ll oversee the day-to-day running of our Digital Learning Support service, making sure requests are resolved efficiently and consistently across a large and diverse community of staff and students. You’ll work with colleagues across IT, registry and academic teams to co-ordinate solutions, while using service data to identify recurring issues and introduce better ways of working. The role offers variety: as well as service management, you’ll create clear support materials, contribute to training sessions, and help shape how digital learning technologies are adopted across the College. With UAL’s size and complexity, no two days are the same, you’ll be working across multiple platforms, supporting staff and students from different disciplines, and contributing to improvements that influence the wider University.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the Digital Learning Support service to ensure requests are resolved efficiently and consistently.
  • Coordinate solutions across multiple teams (IT, registry and academic colleagues).
  • Utilise service data to identify recurring issues and drive improvements in processes and ways of working.
  • Create clear support materials in print, online and audio-visual formats.
  • Contribute to training sessions and help shape how digital learning technologies are adopted across the College.
  • Work across multiple platforms and support staff and students from different disciplines.
About you

We’re looking for someone with substantial experience of managing a help desk service within a large and complex organisation. You’ll need to be confident working across multiple teams to co-ordinate solutions, and comfortable analysing support data to spot patterns, identify systemic issues and improve processes.

Strong knowledge of digital and e-learning technologies used in further and higher education is essential, along with the ability to create clear and engaging support materials in print, online and audio-visual formats.

A degree in a relevant field such as digital learning, education or IT would be an advantage, as would a track record of designing and delivering training for different audiences. Above all, you’ll combine technical expertise with a focus on service quality, helping us enhance the digital learning experience for students and staff alike.
