Hargreaves Lansdown plc in Bristol is seeking a Senior Digital Analyst to drive better client outcomes through analytics across our website and apps. You will partner with product teams to surface insights and guide digital journeys with a data-driven approach.

The role focuses on leveraging Snowflake-based architecture, analysing user behaviour, and delivering actionable recommendations to stakeholders across the business.

Qualifications

• Experience with digital analytics tools (Adobe Analytics/Amplitude/GA4).
• Strong data manipulation and analysis to provide actionable insights.
• Advanced SQL skills; Python notebooks desirable.
• Proficiency with data visualization tools and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted partner to drive better outcomes in digital journeys using data from across channels.
• Lead analytics initiatives to surface value from first-party data and new approaches.
• Set up and monitor digital analytics for your partnered Product Team.
• Suggest prioritization of digital product deliveries based on insights.
• Maintain the Digital Analytics data collection implementation with the team.
• Provide tag specifications for additional tracking to support reporting.

About the role

We are currently expanding our Digital Experience Analytics team and want to hear from experienced Senior Digital Analysts that are keen to drive better outcomes for the millions of people that use our platforms and want to help them save and invest with confidence at Hargreaves Lansdown (HL). Our team's focus is always on our clients, understanding what they are doing and trying to explain why. By providing meaningful insights on our clients, you will be central to improving client experience and helping key stakeholders make critical commercial and strategic decisions.

By using our modernising Snowflake and Digital Analytics architecture to dive into user behaviour across our website and apps, along with our other channels and market behaviours, you will quickly become an important part of your partnered Product Team, working with them to surface insight on how our clients are experiencing our journeys and finding and sharing actionable insight that drives improved client outcomes.

We are looking for someone with a mix of analytical skills, experience at acting as a trusted product partner, and someone who can help drive our highly data literate culture at HL.

What you’ll be doing

• Acting as a trusted partner for the business to help drive better outcomes in Digital journeys through a range of data from across our channels.
• Help drive best practice and bring new approaches to finding value in our first party data from across our channels.
• Setting up Digital Analytics and monitoring digital journeys relating to your partnered Product Team.
• Help suggest and understand impacts and priority of Digital product deliveries.
• With the wider Digital Analytics team, manage and maintain the Digital Analytics data collection implementation.
• Provide tag specifications for additional tracking to ensure stakeholders’ reporting and decision making requirements are met.
• Work with web/mobile app developers to ensure tag specifications are implemented as specified.
• Provide support to the wider business on the use of Analytics toolset.
• Respond to ad-hoc queries from around the business regarding digital activity and client behaviour.
• Assist in the wider analytics peer review process to ensure all analytics products are managed appropriately.

About you

We’re looking for a Senior Digital Analyst who has experience, knowledge and skills in the following areas, however we appreciate that a successful applicant may not necessarily tick all of these areas:

• Experience in a workplace of using digital analysis tools, something from Adobe Analytics/Amplitude/GA4
• Expert in data manipulation and analysis to provide actionable insights.
• Strong experience with SQL is a requirement, use of notebooks/python would be desirable
• Prior experience using data visualisation tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Looker etc.
• Proficient at prioritising workloads effectively and using planning and collaboration tools e.g. JIRA, Confluence & Miro
• Knowledge and interest in financial services and products is a bonus
• Excellent attention to detail and proven problem-solving skills
• Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders from technical to non-technical

Interview process

The interview process for this role is two stages including technical competency-based questions and a scenario task.

Working Schedule

This role is based in Bristol head office, BS1 5HL. This role is permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We have returned to the office 2 days a week.
