Job summary

Condé Nast is seeking an experienced Digital Editor for House & Garden to lead day-to-day digital output across web, newsletters and platforms. You will edit, commission and publish digital-first stories with a strong eye for interiors and design, ensuring editorial authority and visual identity.

The role requires senior editorial experience, excellent publishing workflow knowledge, and a passion for interiors.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a senior editorial role within publishing or media.
• Strong editing, commissioning and homepage management experience.
• Excellent understanding of digital publishing workflows, SEO best practice and audience development strategies.
• Experience managing publishing schedules and working to multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute House & Garden’s day-to-day digital editorial strategy across web, newsletters and key platforms.
• Own and manage the daily digital publishing schedule, ensuring content is planned, commissioned, edited and published efficiently.
• Oversee and regularly update the House & Garden homepage, ensuring it is visually engaging and aligned with priorities.
• Commission, edit and publish digital-first stories across houses, interiors, decoration, gardens, design, lifestyle and trends.
• Support commissioning priorities to develop a strong evergreen and search-led content pipeline.
• Use analytics to inform publishing decisions and optimise for SEO and audience growth.
• Ensure smooth daily digital workflows and deadlines are met.
• Collaborate with social, video, visuals and editorial teams to maximise reach.
• Mentor junior editors and build relationships with freelance writers and industry contacts.
