Job summary

We are looking for a full time (37.5 hours per week) Band 6 Senior Dietitian to join our client’s proactive Nutrition and Dietetic Team at a NHS Trust within the Pickhill location. The post involves providing a professional dietetic service for Critical Care and surgical patients at a NHS Hospital Trust.

You will assess and treat your own workload of patients, maintain records, and work with Dietetic colleagues and the wider MDT. The department supports audit, CPD and student training.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering dietetic services in critical care and surgery.
• Experience supervising or training staff and students.
• HCPC registration required; IELTS 7.5 with 7.0 in each module or OET grade B for overseas professionals.

Responsibilities

• Carry out nutritional assessments interpreting biochemistry, anthropometrics and diet history to determine nutritional problem.
• Develop treatment plans with calculation of nutritional requirements and discharge planning including artificial nutrition support.
• Prescribe dietary treatment and ACBS products where guidelines are limited.
• Communicate nutrition information clearly to staff, patients and carers with motivation and counselling as needed.
• Attend and participate in multidisciplinary meetings and health promotion activities.
