Job summary

Leo Cancer Care in Crawley, UK seeks a Senior Software Engineer – Interoperability to advance DICOM-RT integration between the treatment system, OIS, and PACS. You will define interoperability architecture and lead cross-functional teams in a medical device context.

The role requires deep clinical software experience, IEC 62304 expertise, and hands-on leadership in delivering safe, compliant medical software across complex workflows.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of domain-specific experience in medical device software engineering.
• Experience with DICOM-RT standards and PACS/OIS integrations.
• IEC 62304 compliance and regulatory familiarity.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of DICOM-RT interoperability features.
• Define and maintain the system's DICOM Conformance Statement and related docs.
• Drive end-to-end integration testing with clinical systems (HL7/FHIR where applicable).
• Mentor engineers and manage contractors on interoperability projects.
• Collaborate with partners, clinical customers and regulatory teams.
