Job summary

Lookers Motor Group Limited, Glasgow Audi, is seeking a skilled Senior/Diagnostic Vehicle Technician to join our established team. This permanent, full-time role offers a structured workshop environment and opportunities to work with a range of high-quality vehicles.

You will perform servicing, repairs and diagnostics to high standards, with training on brand systems and access to comprehensive benefits. A valid UK driving licence and NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance are preferred.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, motor industry experience (brand), and a full and valid UK driving licence.
• Brand accreditation training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, repairs, and maintenance to high standards.
• Inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately, using computer-based technology.
• Repairing or replacing broken or defective parts and resolving defects.
• Taking the customer's vehicle out on a road test to ensure all faults are rectified.
• Warranty repairs are per the manufacturer’s guidelines and relevant write up is complete.
• Complete all relevant paperwork to a high standard.

Permanent, Full Time

Realistic annual earnings: Senior / Diagnostic Technician – £50,685 realistic annual earnings (based on £41,000 basic, includes HVE qualification)

Flexible hours available: 40 hours Monday-Friday (08:30-17:00), plus 1 in 3 Saturdays (08:30-12:30) OR choose a fixed 4-day working week (Mon-Thu / Tue-Fri, 42 hours)

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, motor industry experience (brand), and a full and valid UK driving licence. You’ll be self‑motivated whilst being able to support your team, ambitious and eager to learn, and are able to work to and maintain the highest of standards to all vehicles that take a spin through our doors.

Although previous brand experience is desirable, it is not essential, as brand accreditation training will be provided.
