Job summary

First Military Recruitment Ltd in Peterborough is seeking an experienced Senior Diagnostic Technician to join a busy workshop. You will diagnose, repair and maintain cars and light commercial vehicles, using strong diagnostic skills to identify faults efficiently and keep up with evolving vehicle technology.

The role is a permanent full-time position with an 8:30am–5:00pm schedule, potential overtime, and benefits including ongoing training, private healthcare and a bonus scheme.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Diagnostic Technician within the motor trade.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience working on cars and light commercial vehicles.
• Good knowledge of modern vehicle electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Own tools required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out diagnostics, servicing, maintenance and repairs on cars and light commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical, mechanical and technical faults.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults and provide effective solutions.
• Carry out inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT.
• Complete job cards and service documentation accurately.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and workshop safety.
• Keep up to date with vehicle technology and attend relevant training.
• Work independently while supporting other technicians when required.
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Overview
