Contract Type:Permanent, Full-Time

Hours: Monday to Friday 8AM to 5PM

Salary: Up to £47,600 OTE (including £34,000 to £41,000 basic plus bonus)

Lookers Crewe BMW are recruiting for a Senior or Diagnostic to join their fantastic workshop. While working alongside a team of experienced technicians, you will play a vital role supporting all technicians and apprentices, as well as carrying out brand specific mechanical and electrical diagnosis to manufacturing guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting and provide guidance for all Technicians and Apprentices within the workshop
  • Carrying out mechanical and electrical diagnosis using (Brand specific diagnostic machine) to manufacturers guidelines
  • Assisting the Service and Diagnostic technicians with vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical diagnosis, using computer-based technology
  • Liaising with the manufacturers’ technical team when guidance is required
  • Advising the customer/ manufacturer of any further work required
  • Road testing vehicles to ensure all work has been completed to the Lookers standard

Qualifications/ Experience

The ideal candidate to be considered for this role will need to be an Accredited Diagnostic or Senior Technician with NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, has motor industry Franchised Dealer experience, and a full and valid UK driving licence. You’ll be self-motivated whilst being able to support your team, ambitious and diligent in your approach, and are able to work to and maintain the highest of standards to all vehicles that take a spin through our doors.
