Overview

Opportunities have arisen for Senior Radiographers, Band 6 to work within the Medical Imaging Department on the Ipswich Hospital Site within East Suffolk & North Essex Foundation Trust. We have a permanent post and also a fixed term post available. You will rotate through all areas including the Emergency Department, CT, Fluoroscopy, and plain film imaging modalities, with opportunities to train within Vascular & Intervention and Cardiac modalities for suitable candidates. The role involves extended day working across a 7 day week and overnight duties including emergency CT scans, with weekend/bank holiday rosters. You will support managers and area Leads with delivering an efficient and effective service. Previous/current NHS experience is essential. Internal ESNEFT applicants will be offered on a secondment basis only."

Responsibilities
  • Uphold trust values and behaviours, leading by example
  • Undertake diagnostic imaging procedures according to agreed protocols
  • Support senior staff, radiologists and area leads to ensure effective and efficient workload organisation across the service
  • Develop and maintain good, effective channels of communication within the multi-disciplinary team
  • Supervise junior radiographic and support staff, including undergraduates on clinical placement
  • Adhere to Radiation Protection legislation/governance and report breaches using the DATIX incident reporting system, including notifying senior staff/RPS as appropriate
