Job summary

Valtech is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to join our global delivery teams in Buenos Aires, embedding security into pipelines, automating compliance, and ensuring reliable, secure platforms. You will lead security reviews, foster secure coding, and mentor engineers across multicultural teams.

The role requires 5+ years in Security Engineering or DevSecOps, cloud security expertise (Azure), and strong automation skills.

Qualifications

Experience leading DevSecOps initiatives in enterprise or high-traffic production environments.
Strong cloud security experience, especially Azure.
Proficient with CI/CD tooling.
Advanced knowledge of container security and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS).
Hands-on with security scanning tools (Snyk, SonarQube, Trivy, Aqua, Prisma, Checkov).
Monitoring and observability solutions with a security lens (New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
Fluent in scripting/programming for automation (Python, Go, Bash).
Experience with IAM, secrets management, and zero-trust principles.
Natural mentor, able to upskill and guide other engineers.

Responsibilities

Define and implement enterprise-wide DevSecOps standards, patterns, and guardrails.
Design and build security automation mechanisms such as secure CI/CD pipelines with integrated SAST, DAST, SCA, IaC scanning, and container security.
Design and Implement cloud-native security tooling and platforms.
Lead security reviews, audits and threat modeling for high-impact platforms and projects.
Mentor and coach DevOps/DevSecOps engineers across teams.
Automate compliance and governance requirements at scale.
Participate in and lead security incident lifecycle, including RCA, remediation, postmortem analysis, and resilience improvements.
Promote security awareness on secure coding and cloud security best practices.
Define and conduct vulnerability assessments and manage remediation efforts.
Ensure client systems meet regulatory standards (NIST, ISO, SOC 2, PCI DSS, GDPR).
Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure secure delivery.
