  • Pioneer the future of Space Technology
  • Bring connectivity to remote frontiers
  • Collaborate with customer-centric experts
  • Embrace cultural diversity in our global team

What You'll Do:

  • Drive the development and adoption of engineering best practices using modern Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, focusing on Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), automation, security, and policy/infrastructure as code.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient platforms in hybrid cloud environments.
  • Take ownership of cloud infrastructure issues, performing root cause analysis, resolution, and proactive optimization.
  • Implement and maintain Kubernetes (EKS) clusters, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security through best practices, including Helm-based application deployments.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and pipelines for infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and configuration management using tools like GitLab CI/CD and CDK.
  • Enhance collaboration between development and operations teams by streamlining GitOps practices, version control, and repository management using GitLab and GitHub.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to address incidents promptly, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime.
  • Document and communicate platform architecture, processes, and best practices to teams and stakeholders.

What It Takes:

  • Experience:
    • 5+ years in DevOps/DevSecOps, with at least 3+ years working in hybrid or cloud-native environments (AWS preferred).
    • Strong background in software development, with hands-on coding experience in Python and scripting for automation.
    • Expertise in containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, Helm, Docker).
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CDK & Terraform
    • Deep knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (GitLab, GitHub).
    • Advanced experience with Kubernetes, including cluster management (EKS or similar) and deploying applications with Helm.
    • Familiarity with observability tools and building real-time monitoring solutions.
    • Strong understanding of Linux systems (RHEL, Amazon Linux 2) and cloud platforms (AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda).
  • Additional Skills:
    • Proficiency in database systems (MySQL, Aurora, MongoDB) and messaging systems (SQS or equivalent).
    • Ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems in high-availability production environments.
    • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills to bridge development and operations teams effectively.

What We'd Like:

  • Experience with GitOps workflows and automation frameworks for application and infrastructure lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with security-focused development practices and tools (e.g., container scanning, policy enforcement).
  • Contributions to open-source projects or a history of active engagement with developer communities.

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape platform engineering practices, work with cutting-edge tools, and build highly scalable and secure systems.
