J.P. Morgan Personal Investing is seeking a DevOps Engineer to own and evolve a Kubernetes-on-AWS platform used by a large engineering community. You will drive automation, security-aligned deployments, and observability, collaborating closely with security and platform teams.

The role emphasizes production-grade Kubernetes, cloud-native practices, and hands-on coding in Go or Python, within a UK-based cloud infrastructure function.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps or SRE roles.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining automation, deployment, and delivery environments.
• Proficiency running infrastructure on cloud platforms, e.g. AWS, GCP, with understanding of networking and failure modes.
• Expertise in managing and maintaining Kubernetes clusters in production.
• Strong coding skills in Go or Python.
• Excellent knowledge of observability tooling and best practices.
• Experience collaborating with engineering teams to deliver platforms.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a Kubernetes on AWS platform used by 150+ engineers.
• Advocate good practices and principals throughout the engineering function.
• Standardise deployment and usage of cloud resources to ease technology adoption and comply with security controls.
• Work with stakeholders, such as security, to understand the requirements of the platform.
