Job summary

Netcompany is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team in the UK. You will implement improvements, accelerate delivery, and improve software quality while aligning development and operations under a unified, automation-driven approach.

Key skills include AWS, CI/CD, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Jenkins, with a strong emphasis on automation, monitoring, and proactive improvement. UK work eligibility and travel willingness are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a DevOps engineer.
• Strong knowledge of AWS and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Terraform (IaC), Kubernetes and Helm.
• Experience with multiple databases and integration.
• Monitoring tools to ensure reliability and performance.
• Experience with AWS Cloud and Jenkins pipelines.
• Java + Maven experience for builds; scripting in Python.
• Willingness to travel and UK work eligibility; ability to obtain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Implement and support improvements to accelerate delivery times and improve software quality.
• Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team across Development, QA, IT Operations, Infosec, and UCD.
• Translate business requirements into technical DevOps solutions and keep stakeholders aligned.

Job Description

Responsible for implementing and supporting improvements, efficiency, enhancing software quality, and accelerate delivery times. Having the shared responsibility between development/operations with a focus on people, process, tolls that take a unified customer/user focus. In a multi-disciplinary team with Development, QA, IT Operations, Infosec, UCD etc. all working together to achieve a common goal of applying best practice in DevOps.

Key Responsibilities

• Extensive experience of DevOps tooling, containers and containerisation
• Communication: Able to speak to stakeholders and be able to transfer business requirements into technical implementation
• Facilitate information/business knowledge: Able to act as a business SME and understand what the business needs and how to support this into an efficient DevOps team.
• Stakeholder Management: Able to negotiate and influence with stakeholders to ensure the service runs effectively and efforts are placed correctly.

Qualifications

• 5+ Years as a DevOps Engineer
• Strong knowledgeofAWS and CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance
• Practical experienceusing Terraform(IaC), Kubernetes and Helm
• Experienced with multiple ecosystem databases, architecture and integration
• Experience with monitoring tools to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Practical experience using AWS Cloud
• CI/CD: Proficiency in setting up and maintaining pipelines, particularly with Jenkins.
• Database Management: Experience with schema change management (e.g., Liquibase).
• Scripting: Ability to write automation scripts (e.g., Python)
• GitOps: Understanding of GitOps principles.
• Java & Maven: Must have experience with Java programming and Maven for builds
• Core Principles: A mindset focused on automation, proactive monitoring, continuous improvement, and defining best practices.
• Must have willingness to travel
• Must have the right to work in the UK
• Must be able to attain a UK Security Clearance
