Job summary

Netcompany Group A/S in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team and drive improvements, efficiency, and faster delivery of software. You will help maintain robust CI/CD pipelines, implement container orchestration, and support cloud-native tooling across projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a DevOps Engineer.
• Strong knowledge in AWS and CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance.
• Practical experience using Terraform, Kubernetes and Helm.
• Required: AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm.
• Good to have: GitLab CI/CD, Bash scripting, ArgoCD, Java (Spring), Kafka, Liquibase

Responsibilities

• Extensive experience of DevOps tooling, containers and containerisation.
• Communication: Able to speak to stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical implementation.
• Facilitate information/business knowledge: act as a business SME and support a unified DevOps team.

Job Description

Responsible for implementing and supporting improvements, efficiency, enhancing software quality, and accelerate delivery times. Having the shared responsibility between development/operations with a focus on people, process, tolls that take a unified customer/user focus. In a multi-disciplinary team with Development, QA, IT Operations, Infosec, UCD etc. all working together to achieve a common goal of applying best practice in DevOps.

Key Responsibilities

• Extensive experience of DevOps tooling, containers and containerisation
• Communication: Able to speak to stakeholders and be able to transfer business requirements into technical implementation
• Facilitate information/business knowledge: Able to act as a business SME and understand what the business needs and how to support this into an efficient DevOps team.
• Stakeholder Management: Able to negotiate and influence with stakeholders to ensure the service runs effectively and efforts are placed correctly.

Qualifications

• 5+ Years as a DevOps Engineer
• Strong knowledgeinAWS and CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance
• Practical experienceusing Terraform, Kubernetes and Helm

• Extensive experience of cloud computing, and best practices/emerging technologies
• Experienced with multiple eco-system databases, architecture and integration
• Experience with monitoring tools to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Kubernetes & Helm: Strong understanding of container orchestration with Kubernetes and package management using Helm.
• Cloud Services (AWS): Experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Knowledge of tools like Terraform.

Nice to have:

• Gitlab and GitOps: Understanding of GitOps principles.
• CI/CD: Proficiency in setting up and maintaining pipelines, particularly with Jenkins.
• Database Management: Experience with schema change management (e.g., Liquibase).
• ArgoCD

• Must have the right to work in the UK
• Must be able to attain a UK Security Clearance
