Job summary

VANRATH is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for a 12-month contract in Stockport, with up to £500/day Inside IR35. The role combines hands-on cloud engineering, migration projects and delivery of infrastructure change, moving on-premise environments into Google Cloud Platform.

You will design, build and automate cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, Bash and Python, with a focus on security and networking, and collaborate with TechOps to ensure smooth operation and future scalability.

Qualifications

• Senior DevOps Engineer with hands-on GCP experience.
• Experience migrating on-premise environments to Google Cloud Platform.
• Solid Linux system administration knowledge.
• CI/CD, automation and scripting skills (Bash/Python).
• Security and networking knowledge in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and automate cloud infrastructure on GCP.
• Lead migration from on-prem to Google Cloud Platform.
• Develop and maintain IaC with Terraform and configuration tooling.
• Collaborate with TechOps for longer-term operations.
