Job summary

Lorien is recruiting two Senior DevOps Engineers for a public sector client in Glasgow/Dundee. The contract runs for 6 months initially, at a rate of £625 per day and is Inside IR35.

The role focuses on high-volume data processing, event-driven architectures, and API-driven services using AWS and traditional data platforms. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with Kafka/MSK, IBM Infosphere/DB2, Python, PostgreSQL and Terraform, and will work closely with architects and engineering

Qualifications

• Experience building and supporting high-volume data processing solutions.
• Experience building and supporting event-driven architectures using technologies such as Kafka, SQS, SNS or EventBridge to enable reliable, scalable and resilient processing of business events.
• Experience building and supporting API-driven services using AWS API Gateway and AWS Lambda, integrating relational databases and enterprise data sources to deliver secure, scalable and resilient business capabilities.
• Experience implementing and supporting data integration solutions, including change data capture, data synchronisation and the reliable movement of data across cloud-hosted enterprise platforms.
• Experience collaborating with architects and engineering teams to evolve platform capabilities and deliver sustainable long-term solutions.
• Proficient with Kafka (and MSK).
• Proficient with IBM Infosphere / DB2.
