Job summary

SR2 seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build and operate a modern platform from the ground up. You will steer a new Kubernetes implementation and shape tooling, pipelines and scalable infrastructure.

Based in Bristol with a hybrid, flexible working arrangement and occasional travel, the role offers a salary of £60,000 to £80,000 plus benefits and opportunities to influence platform strategy across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in DevOps/Platform Engineering preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with Terraform, Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Focus on reusable, reliable tooling and infrastructure design.

Responsibilities

• Help design, build and continuously improve the infrastructure and deployment ecosystem supporting the wider engineering function.
• Design, implement and maintain scalable, secure and highly available infrastructure.
• Contribute to the Kubernetes implementation and its ongoing development.
• Work with AWS to build and operate cloud infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Build, improve and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate repetitive operational processes and reduce manual intervention.
• Support containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor infrastructure and application performance and improve reliability.
• Enhance security, resilience and operational best practices across the platform.
• Contribute to the evolution of the organisation's Platform Engineering capability.
