Job summary

Client Server in Newcastle is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer (C# Azure) to join as a founding member of a tech start-up investment management firm. You will own the CI/CD infrastructure, automate infrastructure, and improve system observability while delivering user-focused automation solutions.

Ideal candidates bring a strong DevOps background in Azure, experience with Kubernetes, and a software engineering foundation (C# or Python).

Qualifications

Minimum 2.1 BSc in Computer Science or similar field.
Proven DevOps experience in Azure environment.
Software engineering background with C# or Python and strong scripting (PowerShell).
Experience with Docker orchestration via Kubernetes.
Experience with public cloud technologies: Azure, AWS, GCP.
Knowledge of modern software engineering best practices.
Ambition to join a start-up and shape the function.

Responsibilities

Establish the DevOps function and define systems, processes, and policies.
Automate infrastructure and ensure efficient, reliable operations.
Own and maintain the CI infrastructure supporting the development pipeline.
Develop and enhance monitoring and diagnostic tools for visibility.
Deliver automation solutions that improve user experience and reduce manual tasks.
