Job summary

Global Relay Senior DevOps engineer will be integrated within software engineering teams to design, implement and support automated, scalable solutions to ensure reliable, secure and high-quality code is built and smoothly deployed into multiple environments from the build pipeline all the way through to production.

Your contribution will have an immediate impact of enabling efficient delivery of world leading software to our customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years experience applying DevOps practices.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, GitLabCI, CircleCI, TravisCI.
• Experience using container and container platform technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience in mentoring and supporting other DevOps engineers.
• Experience working in a microservice-oriented environment.
• Experience in an operational environment with a solid understanding of distributed systems and troubleshooting network-related issues.
• Experience of applying security practices within the software development lifecycle.
• Excellent understanding of software delivery practices such as Git branching models and configuration management.
• Experience working with Configuration Management tools such as Ansible, Helm, Puppet.
• Excellent knowledge of build tools such as Maven/Gradle.
• Experience working with relational or NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, implementing and supporting automated CI/CD solutions and scalable DevOps processes.
• Monitor production and test environments and build dashboards and alerting rules.
• Mentor junior DevOps engineers to maximise potential and impact.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate requirements early in the development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot and resolve reliability issues and implement lasting fixes.
• Write and run deployment automation tools using Helm, Ansible, or other configuration management systems.
