Domera Labs seeks a senior engineer to own Ami's on-device software, from voice interaction to OTA and fleet connectivity. You will work with ODMs and silicon partners to integrate software on Android/AOSP-based hardware, with a focus on reliability for a screenless, elderly-friendly device.

• Shipped a connected consumer device to production.
• Proficient in Android/AOSP with Java/Kotlin and C/C++ for native parts.
• Experience with embedded Linux and Python tooling.
• Experience integrating devices with ODM/silicon vendors; Qualcomm a plus.
• Knowledge of Wi-Fi provisioning, BLE, and network joining.
• Experience with OTA, bootloaders and A/B partitions.
• Ability to diagnose across app, platform, hardware.
• Founding-team mindset; shipping is prioritized over debate.

Responsabilidades

• Own Ami's on-device application and services end-to-end.
• Collaborate with ODM and silicon partners to integrate software.
• Develop and maintain real-time audio streaming and connectivity.
• Manage device identity, provisioning, and fleet monitoring.
• Support out-of-the-box onboarding without a screen.
• Oversee OTA/Flash update processes and rollout strategies.
• Define base platform behaviors and power/battery logic.
• Support debugging and field recovery channels.
