The Role:

This onsite role at our Fareham premises involves engineering test solutions for electro-mechanical products. You will manage the full lifecycle of test engineering, from defining test cases to developing test tools and executing tests. The position requires broad engineering knowledge, creativity, and drive.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and supporting the Test Engineering team
• Analyzing requirements to derive test needs
• Designing and communicating test cases for various systems
• Managing workload and external collaborations
• Closing workload packages and managing test reports
• Designing test jigs, harnesses, and automation software
• Implementing data processing and analysis software
• Managing test facilities and liaising with external test providers
• Executing tests safely and effectively
• Fault finding and failure analysis
• Documenting and presenting results

Qualifications and Skills:

• HNC or Degree in relevant engineering discipline
• Competent in Electrical and Electronic Engineering
• Knowledge of Mechanical Engineering principles
• Familiarity with software principles related to products
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, LabView, TestStand, and scripting languages (Python, C, etc.)
• Minimum 3 years in a test-focused role or test equipment development
• Experience in data capture, analysis, and verification processes
• Experience with multi-disciplinary systems
• Knowledge of test equipment, data logging, and report creation
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
• Leadership skills to coach and manage staff workload

Additional desirable qualifications include:
