SSEN Transmission is seeking a Senior Marine Development Project Manager to shape Scotland’s offshore transmission strategy. You will lead surveys, route development and environmental workstreams, coordinating across regulators, industry and supply chains to enable secure, timely delivery of major offshore projects.
You will manage multi-contract delivery with governance rigor, ensuring safety, compliance and effective stakeholder engagement across Scotland’s north as part of the energy
Base Location: For these roles, we require successful applicants to be based from one of our Scottish locations and you'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in the office – Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen or Inverness
Salary: Salary: £59,800 - £89,800 per annum + car / car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

As a Senior Marine Development Project Manager, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of the high-voltage electricity transmission network across the north of Scotland, helping to deliver the infrastructure needed to support the transition to net zero.
Joining SSEN Transmission at a time of significant growth and investment, you'll lead the development of major offshore transmission projects, managing activities from early-stage site selection and stakeholder engagement through to planning, consenting and project definition. Depending on your level, you'll take responsibility for complex workstreams or provide leadership across large-scale capital projects, with a particular focus on offshore cable systems, marine environmental assessment, marine surveys, cable route development and offshore platform site selection.
Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you'll help de-risk and refine projects ahead of delivery, overseeing activities such as fisheries engagement, public consultation, supply chain engagement, planning and marine consenting to ensure projects are successfully developed and ready for construction.
