Job summary

Ad Warrior Ltd in Brecon seeks a Senior Planning Officer (Development Management) to handle development control casework within the National Park and surrounding areas. You will perform site inspections, prepare reports, and present complex applications to the Planning Committee.

The role requires a Town and Country Planning degree, at least five years’ Development Management experience, strong planning policy knowledge, and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in Town and Country Planning or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Development Management.
• Strong knowledge of planning policy, legislation and procedures.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage workload under pressure.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Process Development Control casework including complex and major applications, consents and enforcement.
• Conduct site inspections, prepare reports and present to Planning Committee.
• Peer review delegated decision reports and planning contravention notices.
• Undertake EIA screening and provide opinions on behalf of the Authority.
• Negotiate with agents, developers, and statutory bodies on planning issues.
• Handle pre-application inquiries for National Park developments.
