Job description

CK Group are recruiting for a Senior Development Chemist, based in Leamington Spa, on a full-time permanent basis. This role will provide quality control support to the manufacturing process, using analytical techniques.

The Company:
Our client is a leading recycling specialist company, offering their service to polymer industries.

Location:
The site is based in Leamington Spa and is commutable from Northampton, Lutterworth, Rushden, Rugby, Coventry, and Birmingham.

Your duties and responsibilities will involve:

  • Be a key part of the technical team, to support and oversee QC and technical functions.
  • Help build, specify, and run a state-of-the-art analytical laboratory.
  • Utilise GC-MS and other analytical data to identify and quantify contaminants, and determine safe levels based on published and generated data, developing methods and training operators.
  • Provide technical guidance on process adjustments and improvements.
  • Support ground-breaking research into recycled materials in food use applications.

Your Background:
  • BSc in Chemistry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of analytical techniques, especially GC-MS, GC-FID, LC-MS.
  • Experience of regulatory compliance and standards.
  • Experience of laboratory competence procedures and controls.
