Job Description:

The Risk Technology group builds and supports a global risk platform enabling the Risk Management group to oversee all areas of risk across the Firm. The risk platform provides capabilities for measuring, quantifying, analyzing, reporting, and controlling exposures across market and credit.

The position is for a Senior Developer who will be part of the Risk Technology team. The developer will play a key role in major transformation projects involving the end-to-end build of a modern, highly scalable risk platform.

The role involves designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining risk analytics, data modeling, reporting, and management systems. Responsibilities include implementing system components, coordinating requirements, schedules, activities, participating in team meetings, troubleshooting issues, and resolving production problems.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Interfacing with senior stakeholders in Risk Management and across the firm to gather requirements and resolve issues
• Contributing ideas and industry best practices to the wider Risk Technology group during design discussions and incident reviews
• Applying deep expertise in Java, Python, or similar programming languages to build production applications
• Gaining experience in risk analytics, market risk, or credit risk
• Utilizing strong knowledge of SQL and large-scale data modeling, processing, and storage with databases like Oracle, Snowflake, and AWS RedShift
• Implementing cloud-based applications using technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS Lambda
• Using modern SDLC tools including Git, Bamboo, and Jira
• Holding a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline
