Job description

My client, a systematic fund, seeks a full stack developer with a keen interest in finance to join the collaborative Quantitative Platform team. You'll contribute to developing the quantitative research and strategy platform. Your users will include investment teams as well as other technology teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Write and maintain good quality, well-tested code across services, data storage and UI layers.
  • Collaborate with the team through active contribution in code reviews, knowledge-sharing, and design discussions.
  • Work directly with technology and business colleagues across the firm.
  • Build domain knowledge in technology and business areas.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years' experience working as software developer.
  • A learning and growth mindset.
  • Strong interest in keeping abreast of latest technologies and a measured approach for adopting them.
  • Comfortable problem solving across multiple technologies and business domains.
  • Desire to keep improving oneself and the team.
  • Collaborative nature and ability to work in a team e.g., partnering with portfolio managers, quantitative researchers, and technologists.
  • Ability to have constructive technical discussions.

Nice to have:
  • High performance data accessibility with multiple concurrent readers and writers using AWS data solutions e.g. data warehouse/SQL/NoSQL
  • Skilled full stack developer, with a track record in delivering high quality web applications.
  • Interest or experience in the quantitative hedge fund space.
  • Prior experience working on cloud platforms.
