Job summary

Lewisham Council is seeking a Senior Developer Contributions Officer to ensure growth and development delivers infrastructure and community benefits. You will lead the Building Safety Levy (BSL) program, work with internal teams, software providers and external stakeholders to develop Levy processes and ensure compliance with legislation.

You will oversee the multi-million-pound Developer Contributions Programme, negotiating, collecting, monitoring and allocating contributions to borough

Qualifications

• Experience administering Building Safety Levy (BSL) processes.
• Knowledge of Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) regulations.
• Understanding of Section 106 obligations (S106).
• Experience with online databases such as Exacom or similar.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and administration of Building Safety Levy (BSL) processes and procedures.
• Administer and collect the BSL once implemented, including reporting.
• Monitor and report on CIL and S106 obligations and contributions.
• Secure CIL or S106 contributions for projects in Lewisham.
• Prepare high-quality reports, briefings, and documentation for diverse audiences.
• Provide technical guidance and engage with applicants and stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement of systems, processes and reporting for developer contributions.
