Job summary

Evolvi Rail Systems is seeking a Senior Developer to join the development team and deliver high quality, functionally complete code on a regular basis. You will work alongside the Technical Design Lead and the rest of the team in an Agile environment to produce robust software for Evolvi applications.

You will collaborate across the full development lifecycle, develop new functionality, review code, and help drive quality improvements while maintaining a strong focus on security and reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience of the .Net Framework (either C# or VB.Net).
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience of MS SQL Server (or similar relational database)
• Knowledge of XML/XSLT, XSD
• Experience developing in an Azure-based environment specifically Function Apps
• Experience of the Agile development lifecycle.
• Good understanding of secure coding practices

Responsibilities

• Working with the wider development team, develop new functionality to enhance the Evolvi applications.
• Perform peer reviews and pull requests.
• Perform developer testing prior to handing over tasks for full functional testing.
• Investigate queries raised via the Evolvi Support Team and implement fixes where required.
• Develop a full knowledge of the functionality provided by Evolvi.
• Work as part of an Agile team through the full development cycle.
• Contribute to the continual improvement of quality processes.

Role Purpose

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Senior Developer will be a key part of the team, responsible for delivering high quality, functionally complete code on a regular and repeatable basis. You will work alongside the Technical Design Lead and the rest of the development team and take part in a reliable and measurable continuous development process using Agile methodologies.

Operational

Essential

Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience of the .Net Framework (either C# or VB.Net).
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience of MS SQL Server (or similar relational database)
• Knowledge of XML/XSLT, XSD
• Experience developing in an Azure-based environment specifically Function Apps
• Experience of the Agile development lifecycle.
• Good understanding of secure coding practices

Desirable

• Experience of ALM / automated build and deploy tools such as GIT/Azure DevOps.
• Experience in writing unit tests using a tool such as MSTest or XUnit
• Experience in developing and consuming APIs
• An interest in emerging technologies
• Good understanding of automated acceptance testing.
• Industry recognised training/certification, such as MCP, MSTS, MCSD.
• Knowledge of the travel industry - and/or Online Booking Tools.
