Job summary

Edit Websites is seeking a senior developer to join our small, dedicated team. You’ll work on Edit and iKnow platforms, shaping features and delivering intuitive software that helps charities operate more effectively.

With 5+ years in commercial development, you’ll mentor others, write clean code, and collaborate closely with customers to ensure real-world impact. As part of a tight-knit team, you’ll see the direct results of your work, contribute to feature roadmaps, and help evolve our tools

Qualifications

• Excellent all-round programming ability.
• Proficiency in PHP, Laravel, React Native, Bootstrap, JavaScript, MySQL and Git.
• Experience with Docker and AWS and modern web development practices.
• Strong testing methodology (unit tests preferred).
• Confident written and verbal communicator; team player and mentor.
• Independent and collaborative worker with curiosity for new tech.

Our iKnow and Edit platforms are trusted by 1,000s of organisations across the UK to help them communicate, stay organised, and support their mission. They range from small single location charities up to charities with over £70m a year in income. We started off working with churches but now work with many different types of charities around the UK.

Our software includes our Edit website builder and our iKnow admin software that is available in a number of different brands. This past year we have launched safeguarding software that we are told is market leading for managing concerns and checks. We want to continually build new features and support our growing customer base.

As a core part of our development team, you'll work on our two major platforms:

• Edit
• iKnow

Our products are continually evolving, so you'll be helping to shape new features, refine existing ones, and innovate in ways that genuinely help charity teams and volunteers.
