We are hiring for the exciting position of Senior Developer to join us on a permanent basis.

Here at BSI we are going through a period of growth, we are excited to be looking for a hands-on Senior Developer who will occasionally lead a small team of developers. As part of your role you will perform a variety of technical PoCs and programming assignments requiring knowledge of established programming and data processing techniques. You will also need to engage with Business Stakeholders and other IT teams with minimal supervision towards planned delivery commitments. You may also need to lead a small group of developers undertaking similar activities on team projects.

Location

Chiswick, London; majority home working with the need to go into the office roughly once a month

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Prior experience in engaging with Business and IT stakeholders with ownership and minimal supervision on delivery commitments

Undertake Analysis, Design and Development of new applications and maintaining existing systems by undertaking prioritized enhancements from the product backlog

Ensure software testing and quality assurance processes across the organization are followed

Provide estimates for tasks and the development of new features

Liaise with internal business users towards requirements and delivery

Undertake performance tuning, refactoring/redesign, automation, integration, PoCs as needed from time to time

Constantly update technical knowledge and skills by attending in-house and/or externally offered courses, and undertaking on-the-job learning by undertaking development and maintenance on new systems built using the latest technologies as required by the organization

Demonstrate clear, effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of staff within the Technology and Business environment

May need to lead a small group of developers undertaking similar activities on a joint project

Ensuring adherence to development methodology, documentation procedures, CAB and PMO practices

Skills/Knowledge/Experience

Previous experience within a similar role.

Strong application development experience within a Microsoft .NET based environment.

Experience in leading projects and supporting more junior team members.

Must be proficient in ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Webform, C# and SQL Server.

Other technical knowledge - WebAPI, jQuery, Entity Framework, XML, XSLT, JSON, .NET Core.

Familiar with - Azure, DevOps & CICD, SSIS, SSRS, Angular.js.

Good analytical and communication skills.

Proficiency with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
