Job summary

Square Enix is seeking a senior infrastructure/DevOps engineer in the United Kingdom to deliver, operate and optimise hybrid infrastructure across on‑prem and cloud environments. You will build and manage Kubernetes clusters, ensure high availability, and implement automation, monitoring and IAM controls.

You will collaborate with global teams, support CI/CD pipelines, and leverage tools like Terraform, Ansible and Grafana while maintaining documentation and best practices.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with on-prem sharded MongoDB cluster.
• Extensive experience building, managing, and scaling Kubernetes clusters (GKE, manual Kubernetes, etc.).
• Extensive experience designing and building high-availability, resilient infrastructure.
• Experience setting up and maintaining monitoring, alerting, log collection (rsyslog, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK).
• Automation and scripting experience (Terraform, Packer, Ansible, Bash).
• Extensive Linux administration experience (Ubuntu LTS).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience in medium to large sized companies.
• Experience dealing with different business units located in various parts of the globe.
• Self-motivated team player with great attention to details, superb organizational skills, and ability to prioritize workload.
• Proven track record maintaining and enhancing skill level according to future technology trends and using innovative approaches in solving and preventing problems.
• Ability to analyse, solve problems, and work well under pressure.
• Experience working independently and without direct supervision.
• Willing to work outside standard business hours.
