A London City based Investment Bank are seeking a highly skilledSenior Desktop Engineerto join their global IT team. This role is pivotal in delivering seamless desktop engineering solutions across a complex, high-security environment supporting over10,000 users worldwide. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise inMicrosoft Intune,Autopilot,SCCM, andPowerShell scripting, and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable desktop solutions that meet the needs of a fast-paced investment banking environment.
** Hybrid – 1 / 2 days a week in the office.**
** Salary £85,000 - £95,000 + Excellent Benefits package **

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, deployment, and management ofmodern desktop solutionsusingIntune,Autopilot, andSCCM.
  • Develop and maintainautomated scripts(PowerShell, VBScript, etc.) for desktop provisioning, patching, and compliance.
  • Manage globalWindows 10/11 endpoint configurations, ensuring performance, security, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with global teams to supportdesktop infrastructureacross multiple regions and time zones.
  • Drive continuous improvement indevice lifecycle management, including onboarding, imaging, and decommissioning.
  • ProvideTier 3 supportfor escalated desktop issues and act as a technical lead for major incidents.
  • Maintain and enhanceGroup Policy Objects (GPOs)and configuration baselines.
  • Ensure compliance withcybersecurity policies, regulatory requirements, and internal standards.
  • Participate inaudit and risk assessments, providing documentation and remediation plans as needed.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team.
Required Skills & Experience:

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to play a key role in a global team.
