Senior Deskside Technician

Job Description: Working in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment, you will be responsible for providing a high level of customer service and hands-on support. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an ambitious company operating at the forefront of their industry and play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of a premium IT support service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deploy patches on all machines (excluding servers) in collaboration with the client.
  2. Validate and implement updates of business applications on the current master image based on Windows 10.
  3. Validate the master on all new machines in case of acquisition of new models.
  4. Identify and document tasks that can be handled by L1 and L2 - shift left.
  5. Perform first diagnosis of network issues and qualify them; escalate to the appropriate support group/network provider.
  6. Perform tests to validate infrastructure changes in collaboration with client providers.
  7. Support 3rd level system architecture issues—solve complex issues requiring expertise and find sustainable solutions to recurring problems.
  8. Test and document each change according to client instructions/procedures.
  9. Assist 1st and 2nd level support in resolving unresolved support requests.
  10. Maintain post-master scripts (VBS, DOS, PowerShell) for installing new applications and updates (average 2 per month).
  11. Test and adapt master scripts for new machine models (average 2 per year).
  12. Participate in maintenance operations of computer equipment with the support team.
  13. Create and maintain scripts to automate application installations.

Job Requirements:

  1. Expertise in Office 365 tools.
  2. Expertise in Windows 10 & 11.
  3. Expertise in DOS and VBS.
  4. Knowledge of PowerShell.
  5. MS certification preferred.
  6. Experience with transition phases, trained on ITIL V3, ideally certified.
  7. Knowledge of project management; certification is preferable.
  8. Knowledge of backup/restore tools.
  9. Advanced knowledge of virtualization.
  10. Knowledge of email systems, Microsoft SharePoint.
  11. Advanced networking and telecommunications knowledge.
  12. Expertise with Microsoft Active Directory, user profiles, security groups, and permissions for MS Windows.
  13. Experience with telephony (traditional, IP, mobile).
  14. Knowledge of connectivity technologies (ADSL, UMTS, ISDN, WiFi).
