Stripe is an agency of creative, digitally-minded, content-loving people working in Edinburgh and London. We develop, launch and manage social campaigns for clients including Whyte & Mackay, Scottish Government, Secret Garden Distillery, and FanDuel. Stripe is part of Lumanity, a global consultancy group with offices across the UK, Europe, USA, and Asia.

Responsibilities / Position overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Designer to join our growing Studio and lead a team of talented designers and content creators. You will oversee design initiatives focusing on integrated projects and social media platforms.

You will work with various clients such as Whyte & Mackay, Scottish Power, Moda, Virgin Hotels, Scottish Government, Etihad Airlines x Manchester City, Tefal, Grosvenor Casinos, FT Group, Travelodge, and Merlin Entertainments.

The role requires a passion for creating engaging, culture-shaping content and activations that transform brands.

You will manage a small studio team, guiding creative strategies and ensuring high-quality deliverables. This role combines creative vision, technical skills, and leadership.

You will report to the MD, Social & Influencer, and collaborate with the MD, Stripe, Edinburgh, and a traffic manager to coordinate project flow, resources, deadlines, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Creative Direction: Provide strategic insight, conceptualize innovative designs for reports, tenders, proposals, presentations, merchandise, and social media. Collaborate with internal teams to meet project requirements.
  2. Design Expertise: Lead the design process from concept to completion using industry-standard tools. Stay updated with digital design trends. Develop wireframes and prototypes for stakeholder feedback.
  3. Social Media: Create assets like graphics, animations, videos for campaigns. Work with social teams on content calendars aligning with brand messages.
  4. Team Leadership: Mentor junior designers, manage workload and timelines, foster a creative and inclusive environment.
  5. Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with internal clients, present concepts, incorporate feedback, and identify upselling opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, or related field.
  • At least 6 years experience in a design role, preferably in an agency or digital marketing setting.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Premiere Pro, and After Effects.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing digital design projects, especially for social media and digital campaigns.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint.
  • Experience with workflow and project management tools.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Attention to detail and visual aesthetics.
