Job description

The WW Amazon Private Brands Marketing Organization is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Designer to lead the creative strategy and development of Detail Page design for the EU Consumables business. This role is part of a global creative team of designers, production designers, copywriters, and design program managers who combine talent, expertise, and customer obsession to create compelling and memorable brands for products that customers love and prefer.


In this role, you will create design guidance and lead adaptive design across creative assets for the Detail Page. This includes building wireframes, creating media block templates, developing detailed guidance for adaptive design, and producing Detail Page assets. This role requires high judgment as well as the ability to lead the creation of visual standards, direct production design, and manage creative agencies to scale adaptive design across a wide portfolio of Consumables products.


The ideal candidate will have a strong design background with a passion for contemporary brands. They will have experience building design systems for customer brands from scratch, and will have worked in e-commerce design. Through their experience, they will demonstrate the ability to deliver the highest quality brand creative across multiple channels, while operating at scale. They will have a high degree of ownership and integrity and will be strong problem-solvers with the ability to think critically. They should be experts in working with various design tools, including Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma. They should be willing and capable of using new design technology to improve production speed.


Key job responsibilities
  1. Define the guidelines for Detail Pages to enable consistent brand execution.
  2. Own Detail Page design strategy, concept, and design manual development for Amazon Private Brands, from concept to delivery.
  3. Work from creative briefs with Creative Directors and Copy Directors to translate marketing strategies and insights into creative execution.
  4. Collaborate closely with internal creative, copy, marketing, and project management teams to ensure highest quality work is delivered on time.
  5. Provide direction and feedback to external agency production teams on adaptive design.
  6. Present work to Senior Manager for alignment and sign-off.
  7. Drive continuous improvements to designs based on data and insights.

Minimum Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Design or a related field
  2. 5+ years of experience in creative and design roles, at least 3 of which involve brand design and art direction
  3. Strong proficiency in design/presentation software and tools (specifically Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Figma)
  4. Effective cross-team collaborator who delivers with agility across multiple complex creative projects while meeting deadlines
  5. Design portfolio, including at least 3 multi-component projects that demonstrate dedication to high-quality creative work, strategic vision, concept development, and production excellence
  6. Fluency in digital art direction and production, including familiarity with retouching and post-production editing
  7. Detailed, hands-on experience with typography and image standards for web
  8. In-depth knowledge of design strategy and building brand experiences
  9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  10. Experience developing onsite and offsite creative for e-commerce or Omnichannel
  11. Expertise in art direction, photo briefing, and on-figure and off-figure photography
  12. Knowledge of UX and front-end web design processes and best practices
  13. Knowledge of video storyboarding, editing, and development
