Overview

Escape Recruitment is supporting our client in Dundee to recruit a Senior Design Project Engineer to join their growing engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to play a key role in the design and delivery of high-performance mechanical products used in demanding applications.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and contribute to design and development projects from initial concept through to production release.
  • Produce detailed 3D models, drawings, calculations, and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure technical requirements and schedules are met.
  • Participate in design reviews and problem-solving activities.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant standards, procedures, and quality systems.
  • Support product testing, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
  • Degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience within a design engineering or project engineering role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong 3D CAD skills (experience with Inventor or similar software preferred).
  • Good understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience working to ISO quality standards.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
