Job summary

MWH Treatment is seeking a Senior Design Manager to lead design across a portfolio of water and wastewater infrastructure projects in the UK with flexible working options.

You will guide multidisciplinary teams, ensure high-quality, buildable solutions, and drive collaboration to meet client requirements, programme objectives, and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Leading engineering and design delivery across a portfolio of projects, from scope definition through to handover.
• Making sure designs meet health and safety, quality, technical, environmental, sustainability and governance requirements.
• Working closely with designers, technical specialists, suppliers, construction teams and clients to deliver successful project outcomes.
• Managing design plans, deliverables, risks, decisions, change control and monthly reporting.
• Supporting a culture of open communication, constructive challenge, shared learning and continuous improvement.
