Bring your skills to the mix as a Senior Design Manager, you'll play a vital role in all aspects of design management on Transformational Programmes for critical UK infrastructure with opportunities to work on iconic engineering projects at home and abroad.

We specialise in all aspects of river and coastal engineering, within sectors such as Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy, and Cities & Development. We provide industry-leading river and coastal engineering solutions throughout the project lifecycle, adding value through client-side support and construction phases. We currently have opportunities in our Epsom, Peterborough, Bristol, Exeter, Swansea, Birmingham, and Manchester offices.

Your Purpose:

  • Deliver technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, maintaining high quality.
  • Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and contribute to bid proposals.
  • Collaborate with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Understand, communicate, and manage project risks.
  • Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.

What you can bring:

  • Chartered Civil Engineer.
  • Experience in leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design and Design & Build projects.
  • Knowledge of coastal defenses, flood walls, embankments, weirs, hydraulic structures, culverts, scour protection, access, and construction logistics.
  • Familiarity with UK design standards, guidance, and practices.
  • Proficiency in delivering both traditional and environmentally focused solutions, including nature-based strategies.
  • Strong commercial, contractual, and program management experience.
