Job summary

Randstad CPE is recruiting a Senior Design Manager to lead design coordination across complex, high-value schemes (£50m+) in the Midlands, from pre-construction through site delivery.

You will manage the design program (IDP) and collaborate with commercial, operational and client teams to ensure fully coordinated, compliant solutions. You will also oversee external consultants, conduct technical reviews and lead value engineering and digital design workshops.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Design Manager within a Tier 1 main contractor.
• Extensive experience across pre-construction and site delivery on major schemes (£50m+).
• Strong technical and multidisciplinary design coordination skills and digital design literacy.
• Confident communication with the ability to manage consultant appointments and challenge design teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all design activity from pre-construction through to site delivery.
• Manage the design program and Information Delivery Plan (IDP).
• Collaborate with commercial, operational and client teams to ensure coordinated, compliant design solutions.
• Lead external design consultants, conduct technical reviews, and run value engineering and digital design workshops.
