Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Design Manager (Project Manager) in London to lead the design delivery of complex multidisciplinary engineering projects. You will guide internal teams, coordinate with external consultants, manage risks and commercial aspects, and drive excellence in project execution while maintaining client satisfaction.

You will collaborate across disciplines, mentor teams, support business development, and contribute to HDR’s culture of inclusion and innovation in building

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in engineering/design management or project delivery.
• Strong leadership and multidisciplinary design management experience.
• Excellent client-facing, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design teams and manage multidisciplinary projects from inception to completion.
• Coordinate internal disciplines, external consultants, and client stakeholders.
• Ensure project objectives, scope, budget, quality and safety are met.
• Drive technical excellence and HDR quality standards across projects.
• Support business development and continuous improvement of practices.
