Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Design Manager or Senior Interior / Construction Designer in commercial fit-out, office interiors or related construction environment.
• Strong understanding of sustainability standards (BREEAM, WELL and LEED) and its influence on design decisions.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary design teams and external consultants.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and SketchUp.
• Strong understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements including fire safety and accessibility.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design process from concept through to technical and construction-ready information.
• Coordinate design input from architects, interior designers, engineers and other stakeholders to achieve integrated and buildable solutions.
• Review design documentation for coordination, accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
• Lead design reviews, coordination meetings and workshops; track actions and close them out.
• Identify design risks, interfaces and potential issues early and communicate them.
• Ensure designs reflect client requirements, programme, budget, quality standards and sustainability objectives.
• Mentor junior designers and CAD technicians; provide technical guidance.
• Maintain effective client and stakeholder communications throughout the design process.
• Promote right-first-time design information to reduce rework and construction delays.
